Welcome! I am so happy to announce I have started a BLOG!
I am super excited to share all things life here. This is a safe place to share my journey in my life. If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook this is a spot where I will share a little more on my thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I’m getting deeper! I’m looking for a place to freely write. A place to document everything in my personal and business life. So, I don’t forget any of it! I came to a decision to write a blog. I have no idea if anyone will read it, but I just don’t want to forget! If you do read it, no judgment please.
I started writing when I as in middle school and I loved it! I would write in “my diary” almost every day. I just wrote about what I did that day. Who I talked to, who I liked really. I guess the typical pre- middle school stuff. I have no idea if kids these days even write anymore. Everything is tech! Everyone has a phone or iPad/tablet. I know for sure my middle school daughter doesn’t write like I did.
My parents weren’t really big influences on my education. Which, thinking back now -totally SUCKED! From what I can remember, my parents separated when I was 5 or 6 years old. My father retired from the Air Force, and we moved off base and my father had custody of my brother and me. My sisters, who have a learning disability, needed 24-hour assistance. They were placed in a state home. My mother worked nights, and moved into her own place, so I didn’t see her often. I was able to see her anytime though. That was not an issue. Although being 9 years apart, my brother he meant everything to me. I looked up to him the most.
Living with men through my adolescence, I reached for the pen and paper! Especially during that stage in life, I had lots of feelings, questions, influences. My brother was the one I would turn too. I was able to ask him anything! He was upfront and would give some sort of advice. My father not too much. He was the quiet type and never really talked much about life. Looking back, I resent him for it now.
Well, that is how I started writing. I’m ending with that.
Till Next Time
The Real Jamie. 🙂
