It’s my 36th Birthday!
Birthdays no matter how old should always be celebrated. It’s a reminder of LIFE. It’s a reminder to be thankful. A reminder to not take life for granted. I spend each year doing the same things and feel like it’s just another year. When really its a year of celebration. No matter what I went through last year God has blessed me a life to 36. And that I am Thankful! Here is how I celebrated…

First of course it was time to get ready for the day. I felt like pampering Jadison and I with a clay mask to start our day. With our birthdays only 6 days apart, and as she is getting older by the minute ๐ Growing into a young lady, A tradition begins. <3
Who remembers this mask- Indian Healing Clay Mask? I sure do! Although, I didn’t know much about the product itself growing up. I just knew it was great for detoxifying the skin. It’s a natural, clean as can get product. Made from 100% bentonite clay straight from volcanic ash. It’s rich in minerals such as calcium, magnesium, and iron. It’s been used as a natural healer for centuries! I’ve read Cleopatra even used it as part of her selfcare ritual. It’s used to treat multiple skin issues. Maybe I’ll do a whole post on this. ๐ It was funny as it was drying. It tightens and we could barely open our mouths.

I haven’t been wearing much makeup lately and today I wanted a full face and dress up. Using Senegence long lasting makeup of course. ๐ I kept it simple. One shadow shade but a lip color that pops. Sheer Berry LipSense was the winner.

Hubby suggested to go ice skating for my birthday weeks prior. I actually thought it was a great idea! I haven’t been since I was probably in 6th grade. I used to take lessons; I absolutely loved it. We decided to head to the ice rink, we arrived around 2pm, and we couldn’t skate. They only allow public skating at certain time blocks and the next one was at 5:45pm. So, we decided to get food! Texas Roadhouse was the winner! Hubby has been craving the steak here. LOL. We came a few weeks ago and he has been looking forward to coming back because our order was so good. HAHA. I decided to order a margarita. We don’t drink like we used too. I enjoyed the Mango Marg. ๐
We haven’t been eating out too much because of the cost. Our order was $112 with a tip. The last time we ate out like this was 6 months ago! :0 Our food was just as good as our last visit.

After our late lunch we headed back to the rink! We all fell on our butts! Which was expected. I tripped on the tip of the skates while trying to cross over, trying to show my husband how to cross over, LOL, all of a sudden, I went forward but slid gracefully actually. We were only able to skate for one hour. (that was the time block)

Justin has never skated before. He did pretty well for his first time. He has always tried to put on our roller blades we have at home that are an adult size 9, I tell him he can’t use them because they are not his size. It took him a little while to figure it out. Hubby was holding his arm while he tried to skate, I came to realize, that wasn’t a good idea. It doesn’t help with balance whatsoever. They ended up both falling straight onto their backs. YIKES! Hubby hurt his elbow. Justin was fine.

Jadison did really well. She already has experience from roller blading at home. Using the adult roller blades that are a size 9. She is only 12 and already wearing the same shoe size as me. She did fall down a few times. She even slid into the splits. I was pretty impressed. Only wish I took a shot of that! She was a bit moody while we were there. Came to find out that her skates were rubbing against her side of her foot creating a blister. Which are the absolute worst. Probably the cause of the mood.

Towards the end of the hour. Kids were done and Hubby and I had a chance to couple skate for a few minutes. It felt nice to skate together. We tried to skate around as fast as we could.

Of course we ended the day with cake!
